Our Story

Ok kidding, BUT not entirely.
Marilyn’s grave is where our founder Frances went with her best friend to visit the morning she discovered her first Refillery back in 2014. (It wasn’t her idea!)
There in California, she stumbled upon a refill shop that provided bulk items for the kitchen and home. The sense that you so easily help the planet with the simplest gesture really stuck with Frances. She came home to her husband and shortly after started composting . They realized how much less garbage they were producing. It was shocking how the smallest change truly can make a huge difference. 

From that moment on, Frances has struggled to find refills of her favorite brands to bring home. She started to visit more refill shops and quickly realized she wanted to offer more than bags and bottles.

That’s when Rahway Refillery came to light. 

Her vision is to create a No-Waste Marketplace that educates our community on how easy it is to incorporate a No-Waste habits into your life. It doesn’t need to stop in the pantry or laundry room, it’s a lifestyle- the kind of sustainable lifestyle that doesn’t compromise style for function.

Together with her husband, Johan and daughter Aria, she is so excited to bring you Rahway Refillery.
